Insite i2 is a GSM based monitoring device that enables you to remotely monitor, control, GPS track, and even request telemetry from any site, home, office, factory, vehicle, vessel or other equipment, using SMS messages and a mobile phone.

And the advantage is that you don’t need to have someone looking at a computer monitor 24/7 – An SMS alert can be sent to up to 12 recipients anywhere in mobile phone range, virtually anywhere in the world!

By utilizing low cost SMS text messages, Insite remotely monitors temperatures, voltages, security alarms, switch states, as well as controls switch circuits, takes transducer telemetry readings, and tracks vehicles, aircraft or yachts using its optional built-in GPS receiver.  

SMS text messaging is available worldwide on the GSM mobile phone network. SMS messaging costs little to send and can be viewed at will. If the recipient's GSM mobile phone is turned off or out of range, messages are delivered as soon as it is turned back on, or in range...wherever that may be, at home, in the next state, or in another country.

Voltages, pressure, fluid and other analog telemetry readings in user scaled units can also be transmitted by the an Insite device on request to the requesting mobile phone.

It is powered by a small power pack, but for remote applications you can use a battery or even a Solar panel to power the unit. It also has its own built in Li-Ion rechargeable battery.   

And the best part is, Insite does not require any monitoring plan, contracts or monthly dues. All you need is a pre-paid or post-paid SIM card from your local network provider, and a mobile phone to receive the messages.  

If you couple Insite with InsiteFleet software you can track and monitor up to 1,000 Insite units on a PC, and with the optional Google-Map add-on you can even see where your assets are on Google Earth maps.
